The Sonic Telecom GmbH was founded as an European branch of the Sonic Telecom Ltd./Virginia USA at the 8th of September 2000 at Frankfurt/Main.

This happened together with the branches in France, Great Britain and Singapore under the roof of the Sonic Telecom Holding in Ireland. A goal was it to create an international selling and support structure for the world-wide to be developed H.320 video over ATM network (= VIDEO1). More and more the German GmbH was thereby established as the development and support center. Thus the until today singular VIDEO1 Dial-In procedure, based on an own developed Dial-In platform, was developed here.

In September 2001 Sonic Telecom took over the development and the ISDN Leased Cost Routing (LCR) division of the ComTel Electronics System GmbH and shifted its business premises to Friedrichsdorf at the Taunus. From now on, additionally to the business fields VIDEO1 and ATM network service, the ISDN LCR as well as the installation support in the carrier range belonged also to the companies main business.

End of the year 2003 the Sonic Telecom with all its world-wide branches was integrated into the PanAmSatCorp. with residence in Wilton CT/USA. In the course of this restructuring with the reorientation on satellite services the idea of the combination of ISDN and IP products developed. Thus Sonic Telecom began with the development of Voice of over IP (VoIP) routing on ISDN basis. Already in the middle of the year 2004 we could supply our customers successfully with SIP based ISDN VoIP gateways.

End of the year 2004 the Sonic Telecom GmbH was sold to the ACCESS POINT LLC in Virgina/USA. Thus the already 2003 made decision to focus to the ISP range has strengthened.

At the beginning of 2005 Sonic Telecom decided to take completely care of the new requirements of the ISP's within the VoIP range. Thus the first complete ISP's infrastructure for its own VoIP network was developed. To be numbered among beside other things multiple ISDN E1 gateways for the interfaces to the PSTN as well as the administrative structures like Proxy/Registrar.

By the proximity to our customers, we compile constantly new application possibilities and adapt our products and achievements in short periods. Thus new higher performance ISDN PRI gateways with different compression codecs are developed at present, which will be ready in the middle of the year 2005. Likewise new solutions and products within the range of dial in platforms for VoIP, LCR and video are developed at present.
