Acquire is an advanced subscriber initiated testing tool that identifies potential problems with the loop. These include the presence of load coils, bridged taps, and digital loop carriers (DLCs), as well as reporting on signal to noise ration and frequency response curves. Addressing these issues prevents the wasting of dollars on provisioning lines that can not support DSL. It also allows the service provider to extend testing to areas thought to be too far away from the DSLAM, expanding their market opportunity by up to 544%. Acquire tests the entire loop, from the Central Office (CO) past the DMARC to include the internal wiring in the house. Without the aid of a technician, Acquire can locate problems that cannot be located under the current method without a costly truck roll.

The subscriber runs the Acquire CD, which uses a dial-up modem connection to communicate with the Acquire Server™. Customer information is captured at this point of initial contact, which in addition to the data collected during the test sequence, can be used to determine the appropriate “call to action” for the subscriber. |

Acquire qualifies the CPE, inside wiring, local loop, and identifies the possibility of load coils, bridged taps, Digital Loop Carriers (DLCs) and other impediments on the line. It even validates existing plant records to ensure accuracy. |

The contents of the subscriber messages are completely customizable to match corporate branding and give any message or call-to-action. Offer pass/fail qualification based upon your service’s minimum requirements and notify the subscriber of the expected delivery date that is dictated by line maintenance scheduling. You can even inform potential subscribers of special offers or other services from dial-up to any other product offerings. |
